a small piece of paper with a description of the program was added to the magazine with text: 'op het vlak werden wetmatig-toevallig een toevallig gekozen aantal (20-50 → 31) punten uitgezet. dit door de cijfers uit een zgn. random-tabel op de verticale en horizontale as van het vlak als cm. uit te zetten. deze punten werden, in de volgorde van aanbrengen, met elkaar door een lijn verbonden. doordat de lijnen elkaar snijden ontstaat een "figuur", de lijnen kruisen uiteraard meer het midden van het vlak dan de zijden, waardoor hier enigermate een zwaartepunt ontstaat' [= a randomly chosen number (20-50 → 31) points were lawful-randomly distributed on a sheet. this was done by plotting the numbers from a so-called random table on the vertical and horizontal axis of the sheet as cm. these points were connected to each other by a line in the order in which they were applied. because the lines intersect a "figure" is created, the lines obviously cross the middle of the plane more than the sides, which creates a center of gravity to some extent] |
