    'the rationalists' manifest' was written on February 10, 1968 for the fiumbalo international festival, modena and published as 'why to work' in Pantabox (1969). Reprinted in (among others) Ta'box n° 2 (Copenhagen 1969), as a pamphlet the rationalist' manifest' by Galerie Riekje Swart : Amsterdam 1970), in the exhibition catalogue herman de vries. random objectivations (Kunsthistorisch Instituut : Amsterdam 1970), in herman de vries : vijf manifesten over taal - en een gedicht = fünf manifeste über sprache - und ein gedicht ...
