The selection of motifs ranged from landscapes to excursions into the world of plants, from depictions of man and animal through to views of the universe.
  • 2003, 2006, 2008 ZERO
  • The ZERO movement revolutionized the art of the postwar era with a new image and design language: serial pictorial arrangements, vibrant and dynamic spatial structures of light construction replaced the traditional composition. After more than half a century of ZERO, the group and its wider circle are once again becoming a centre of public attention. In an impressing series of exhibitions the interactions between groups of artists from Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Japan was presented in Innsbruck, Salzburg, Düsseldorf and New York. Important names in the exhibitions: Heinz Mack, Günther Uecker, Otto Piene, Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni and Lucio Fontana. The exhibitions cover the period from 1953 to 1966: from the early period of the Japanese Gutai artists in the early 50s, from the intensive work and exhibition phase of ZERO in Europe in the late '50s until the dissolution of the Düseldorf Zero group in 1966.
