

In 2001 herman de vries created at the Museum Gassendi le cabinet de botanique en l'honneur du docteur honnorat, a permanent installation in tribute to the naturalist and physician Simon-Jude de Honnorat.
The earth museum, now housed at the Museum Gassendi, holds over 7,000 earth samples. Begun in 1976, it is an extensive and diverse collection and constitutes a compendium in which every type of earth is represented.
The sanctuaire de Roche-Rousse encloses with gold-tipped railings the ruins of a farm, preventing any further access to them, allowing them time to complete their ruin, and protecting the growing of plants.
In 2005 de vries has created traces, interventions in the landscape of a most tactful kind: small texts and signs (dots) "engraved in gold in rocks and stones ..."
